Thanks to everyone who supported the camogie church gate collections over the weekend. With just under 2 weeks to go, preparations for this year’s ‘Run in the Woods’ are well under way. The event this year sees a lot of changes with it now moving from Sunday morning to Saturday evening, the addition of a 10km route and changes to the existing 5km route. We've also decided that as it's a Saturday evening to make the most of it so to start us up and get the race started in high spirits, Janet Griffin of Wellbeing Physical Fitness will be leading the warm ups on the Village Green. Afterwards, before winners are announced, we'll be having the Children’s Race on the Village Green which is growing in popularity every year. We also have a relay race with some fantastic prizes. To further enhance our post-race celebrations there'll be music and a BBQ by Dee Jordan. Online entry is now open on www.active.com or you can enter on the day. Further details are available on our club website and also on our Facebook page ‘Run in the Woods’. Our chosen charity partner this year is the Abbeyknockmoy Community Playground Project so we'd encourage you all to try and support. We have sponsorship cards available for anyone who'd like to raise some extra funds, just contact Sharon 085-7074747 or for an online donation page contact Gerry 087-2559567. Any questions please feel free to contact the Race Director Sharon on 085-7074747. We are so looking forward to another great day and hope to see you all there.

Congrats to Tommy & Treasa Farragher and Ian & Martina Murphy on getting married last weekend.

Best of luck to Monivea-Abbey intermediates in champ 1/4 final replay this Saturday v Oughterard.
