Underage: Our underage hurling for U6, U8 & U10's finished last Friday 18th in Abbey. All players got to play a match for the evening and it's brilliant to see the vast improvement since the first evening we started back training last March. All players got a treat after training and were sent away and encouraged to keep practising over the winter. Overall the Friday evening training sessions seemed to have helped greatly. We would like to sincerely thank all our coaches who did great work all year namely, U6 Sean O'Donnell, Declan Treacy, U8 Pat Joyce, Willie Browne, David Ryan, & U10 Adrian Forde & Tommy Boyle.

U12's played Liam Mellows in the semi-final last Wednesday in Ballyloughane. They made the dream start with some early well worked goals and were well on top by half time. We await the fixture for the final. Thanks to all parents for having the kids in Ballyloughane on time. Our U12 team have been invited to participate in a tournament in Donegal Sun Oct 4th with teams from all over the country invited. It's a great opportunity to play different teams. Training continues Monday 7-8pm.

U15's had a great win last Thursday away against Mountbellew. Training continues Monday 7-8pm. We await results but looking like we'll have a play-off game in the coming days. Management to confirm. Please attend training.

Intermediate: Intermediates lost to Ahascragh-Fohenagh yesterday in their championship. Full time 2-9 to 0-12. We have a remaining fixture V Moycullen in this group stage. This fixture will take place in the next month.

Camogie: Hard luck to the juniors in their semi-final. They battled hard against a young Mullagh side. Some great goal keeping and defending kept them in the game and were unlucky not to get two goals in the 1st half and another 1 or 2 in the 2nd half. Well done to everyone on the panel and management and in true Abbey style they kept battling till the end. If it wasn’t for the few injuries the result could have been much different as there was not a whole lot between the teams. A lot of positives can also be taken from the game with the younger members of the squad acquitting themselves very well at this higher grade. As a few more of our younger girls move into the squad over the next year or so the team will go from strength to strength. Congratulations on making the semi-finals and start looking forward to next year. Well done girls.

U12’s are in North board final this Saturday at 12 against Kilimordaly.

Deepest sympathies to the Twomey and Treacy family, Laraghmore on the death of Pauline. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
