Well done to the U-21’s who beat Meelick Eyrecourt last weekend on a score of 3-09 to 0-15. Well done to our lads who hurled with heart, determination and great skill to defeat Meelick Eyrecourt in Loughrea. The result means we top the group and advance to the knock out stages to play Kinvara in the championship quarter final. Game has been fixed for this Sunday at 11am in Carnmore. The winners will face Killimordaly in the semi-final. Team: Alan Devane, Cian Murphy, Cathal Mannion, Michael O'Brien, Joey Boyle, Adrian McDonnell, Barry Loftus, Paul Cooley, Kenneth Garvey, Fionnán Garvey, Shane King, Caelom Mulry, Jason Flaherty, Liam McCarthy, Danny Flaherty. Sub used Dean Keary.

Our U-16's took on Cois Fharraige on Saturday in Spiddal in Round. In a tough first half we were unlucky with a few decisions given against us our opponent's converted. As a result we found ourselves behind 2-6 to 3pts at half time. The team gave an excellent second half display in which we outscored our opponent's 2-6 to 4pts. We had several chances before the end but we failed to convert these. In the end losing out on a scoreline of Cois Fharraige 2-10 Abbeyknockmoy 2-6. A disappointing result in the end but plenty of positives can be taken from game. Thanks to all the players for the great effort put in and also thanks to all the parents that travelled.
