Hurling: Training continues this week for the Juniors and Intermediates on Friday at 7pm.

Well done to the Intermediate team on their win over Craughwell in their third championship group game on a full time score line of 2-08 to 0-05. Played in very wet conditions, this was a hard fought win but crucial goals in either half helped kill off the opposition. We look forward to our next game against Clarinbridge in 3 weeks’ time. Team was: Declan Molloy, Tommy Farragher, John Culkin, David Carton, Stephen Ruane, Brian Flaherty, Ronan Cooley, Paul Cooley, Caelom Mulry, Paul Flaherty, Trevor Mullins, Damien Rooney, Shane King, Brian O'Donnell, Eoin Blade. Subs used: Padraig O'Donnell, Craig Kennedy, Coleman Maher & Colm Mannion (Blood Sub).

Underage hurling: The u-10 hurling team travelled to Ballinasloe last Wednesday and with some lovely hurling skills and great team work the panel  secured a 6-4 to 2-2 win. Thank you to all parents who travelled and supported the team. Game v Sylane scheduled for this Monday 11th in Abbey.

No u-age hurling last Sun due to Blitz for U6,8 &10's in Abbey last Monday evening.

Abbey U12's had a great opener to the league with a win last Saturday evening against Rahoon/Newcastle in Tonabrocky on a wet miserable evening. The initial stages were tough & bruising but the tougher and harder it got our lads stepped up to it and dictated the game from there on. It was a super panel performance by all who made it for 6pm throw in on a Sat evening. Well done to all the lads and we wish all the lads the best in Football league.

Special word of thanks to Rahoon for their excellent hospitality after the game with plenty of sandwiches, cakes & sweets for the kids and of course a cuppa tea for all. Thanks also to parents for supporting.
