There was no jackpot or match 3 winner in this week's Crumlin Park House & Resource Centre Sponsored lotto. The numbers drawn were 7, 9, 21 and 26. Next week's draw for €1,600 will take place in Moran's Bar. The members draw was held Monday night and the main prize of €700 goes to Patrick O'Donovan, Esker, with Celine Conroy, Ann Flaherty and Sean McGann receiving €100 each as the runners up prizes.

Well done to our under 16 hurlers where they captured the shield title last Thursday in Ballinasloe where they defeated Skehana on a score of 4-8 to 1-3. Abbey got off to a flying start and after 15 minutes had 3 goals scored, 2 by man of the match Colm Flaherty and 1 by Cathal Cooley with Daniel Coyne scoring a fourth . They further cemented their lead with well taken points from the excellent  Fionnan Garvey accurate from placed balls and led at the break on a score of 4-5 to 0-3. Abbey tightened their grip on the game with very solid defending although where they only conceded a goal in this half however Shehana also upped their game with some excellent defending and abbey were only able to pillage a further 3 points winning on a score of 4-8 to 1-3. Overall it was a great team performance from this young team with John McHugh (capt) leading from the back and Jason Flaherty at midfield and it is some consolation to theses players after being narrowly defeated in the cup section. Special thanks to Sean Moran & Pat Joyce for all their efforts in managing the team. For the record the team was  Matthew King, Jaden O'Connor , John McHugh (Capt), Dara Coleman, Keith Boyle, Philip Muldowney, Daniel Coyne (1-0), Jason Flaherty, Fionnán Garvey (0-4) , Craig Higgins, Eric Neilan, Lee Cosgrave,  Jason Joyce,  Cathal Cooley (1-1), Colm Flaherty (2-2), Ryan Cosgrave, Dylan Reynolds (0-1), Gavin Cosgrave.

On Friday last we celebrated 50th anniversary of our 1964 Juvenile winners. We wish to thank all who attended with special thanks to McGann's Bar for hosting the night and providing finger food, Joe Cooney who was the guest of honour, Jimmy Hynes and the Crusaders who provided the music and to Paddy Keary and Brendan Connolly who organised the event.
