There was no jackpot or match three winner this week. The numbers drawn were 16, 19, 27 and 28. Next week's draw for €1,700 will take place in Ryan's of Laragh.

Congrats to Tony Smyth who claimed the top prize of €700 in our monthly draw last Monday night and to Sean Moran, James Curley and Padraig Mannion who won €100 each. We thank all members who continue to contribute to this fundraising draw. Monthly draw and lotto subscriptions are due for renewal, please contact Catherine on 087 6900352 to arrange payment.

Our U-21's are fixed to play Meelick-Eyrecourt this Sunday at 2pm in Ahascragh weather permitting. Training continues for all adult players every Tuesday and Friday at 7.30pm. Intermediate Tain game versus Ballyhaunis was postponed, we play Oran this Saturday, management to confirm time and venue. Support for our teams appreciated as always.

As we enter this new year club membership falls due. Membership fees are as follows: Adult Player €50, Non-playing/Social Adult €20, Student Membership €30, Family Membership (All children under 18 years of age) €100, 1no. Juvenile Player €20, 2no. Juvenile players €35, 3no. Juvenile players €45, Lotto Membership (3 lines) €250, Monthly Draw (includes family membership) €240. Payment can be made to any club officer or online through our club website membership page.

The membership fee's for the 2014 Camogie season remain the same as the last year in conjunction with the Hurling club fee's however this year sees the introduction of the Camogie Association Membership. With this having been agreed by a majority at National Congress level the following fee's were agreed per member. Under age players €13, Adult players €23, Coaches/refs/admins €3. Therefore whilst the membership for Abbeyknockmoy Hurling & Camogie remains the same as last year, there will be an additional €13 levy for each under age camogie player and €23 levy for adult player to be paid as well as the membership fee, see examples below:
One child membership €20 + €13 levy, Two children membership €35 + €26 levy, Three children membership €45 + €39 levy. But if for example you are registering 1 boy for hurling & 1 girl for camogie the total fee is €35 for the 2 child membership + €13 levy for the camogie player. Full family membership including entry to the Monthly draw €250, Family X are registering both parents (neither of whom play), 1 camogie player aged 19, 2 boys for under age hurling and 1 girl for under age camogie. Their fee will be the membership of €250 which includes the monthly draw entry + €23 levy for the 19 year old camogie player + €13 levy for the under age camogie player so total paid is €286.
For any further queries regarding the Camogie membership please feel free to contact the camogie club secretary Sharon on 085-7074747.

This year Abbeyknockmoy Hurling Club will be publishing a Yearbook which will detail all club activities during the year, in hurling, camogie and handball. The Yearbook will include an Archive section and we would ask all those involved with the club, in any capacity, since its inception 60 years ago to submit their newspaper clippings, photos, and any other pertinent archive material. These will be promptly scanned and returned. The Yearbook will be compiled by the Club's Asst. Treasurer Catherine Forde who previously compiled the history of Crumlin N.S. in 2010 and subsequently received a County Heritage Award for that publication. We look forward then to a Yearbook that the Club and Community can be proud of. Catherine can be contacted at 0876900352

There is a limited supply of the club DVD 'Glory for the Red & Blue' and is available to purchase through club officers and in the parish shops at a cost €25. We thank all who have purchased this piece of memorabilia and hope they enjoyed it.

We are having a fundraising Texas Hold'em Poker Night on Friday the 7th of February in the Woodside Bar & Lounge. Registration commences at 7.30pm. Entry is €25. Tickets are available from club officers and players.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the Mannion family, Glenaveil on the death of Christina. Ar dheis De go raibh a h-anam dilis
