Underage Hurling AGM 2014: Our U/age AGM took place last Friday night in the clubhouse Nov 5th. U/age chairman welcomed all in attendance and gave a detailed and concise report of all our U/age outings and events during the year. Michael thanked all who helped in any with the running of what is a very busy and active u/age structure. Whilst thanking everyone he also stressed the need for more help to lighten the workload on others. Catherine Forde our Hurling club treasurer gave a detailed breakdown on the clubs finances for 2014. Catherine thanked all who generously sponsored the club and who supported our weekly lotto and monthly draw. Catherine explained the huge costs involved in running such an active club and ask all to continue to support for the coming year. All managers present gave reports on their respective teams for the year gone. Sean Moran U16's, Michael Coleman U14, Declan Molloy U13 & U12, Jerry Quirke U10 & Adrian Forde U8. U6's were also discussed and the importance of creating a fun, inclusive environment for them as it’s where they first get a taste of hurling. All reports stressed there appreciation to our local refs mainly Sean Moran and David Staunton for facilitating all games during the year as without the man in the middle our games wouldn't happen. Thanks were also expressed to Seamus McWalter for his continuous support in looking after all. After 10yrs Michael Coleman stepped down as Chairman and Declan Molloy was elected chairman for 2015. Declan's opening remarks were to thank Michael for his outstanding service, enthusiasm and dedication to Abbeyknockmoy HC over many many years.
