Hurling:
Well done to the U14 team who played Tommy Larkins at the weekend just gone in the championship and won on a final scoreline of 1-5 to 1-1. An excellent effort was put in by all players who came up trumps against the odds. This coming weekend is Feile weekend and our U14's will be facing Tommy Larkins again in Abbey on Friday at 6:30pm. We'd ask that you come and show your support for them. On Saturday they'll play two further league games & hopefully they'll make the semi-finals which are being played at 5pm Saturday evening which is then followed by the final on Sunday in Pearse Stadium. We wish the players and management all the best in the competition.
The Minor team were unlucky when they played away to Carnmore on Easter Monday in the 1st game of the season. The final scoreline was 3-11 to 2-6. Their next match is in 2 weeks but details are yet to be confirmed.
The Intermediates recorded a win against Padraig Pearses of Roscommon on Easter Monday. Final score was 3-11 to 0-11. Their next match is this coming Saturday at home in Abbey at 6pm. Support for the lads appreciated.
Intermediate training continues this Friday at 7:15pm. Underage training continues this Sunday at 12.30pm.

Camogie:
Under age training continues this Wednesday eve at 7pm. Can anyone who has not yet returned their sponsored walk cards please do so at training. Thanks.
The Junior B's were defeated by Craughwell last Saturday in the 1st of their league games. The game finished 4-5 to 2-2. They say it's a game of two halves and this certainly was the case as the 2nd half saw Abbey get on the scoreboard, another 10 mins of play and maybe the gap could have been closed....who knows? Overall it was a good game from the Abbey side.
They are set to play Sarsfields on Thursday in Bullaun. Fixture to be confirmed.
The camogie club are hosting the County Board lotto on Saturday 13th in the Woodside. Tickets are available at the club and from club officers. This only comes around once a year so we'd ask for your support. On the 13th we'll also be having a presentation to the players & management of 2012. A good nights entertainment is guaranteed so all are welcome.

Handball:
Congrats to Chloe Burke on reaching the U15 Connacht finals and to Dara  Coleman & Liam Egan who reached the U14 Connacht finals.

General:
Well done to Brian Flaherty and his Galway team mates on reaching the league semi-final & best of luck to them on their next outing v's Kilkenny.
Congratulations to Caelom Blade on making the Irish U19 Rugby squad.
Congrats to the Monivea Rugby Club on their victory at the weekend in the Junior Connacht Cup & we wish them well going forward.
Sincere sympathies to the Forde family in Crumlin on the recent death of Johnny Forde.
