This weeks Jackpot was €5100, there was no jackpot winner but there was one match 3 winner, Michael Boyle or Barnadearg who will receive €40. The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 10, 13. Next weeks jackpot is €5200 and the draw will be in Kellys.We will also be holding the Monthly Members draw on the same night

U-13 Final is on this Thursday at 6pm in Kenny Park with Abbeyknockmoy v's Michael Cusacks. Please show your support for them.

Intermediates are fixed to play Kilnadeema-Leitrim in the County Championship Semi-Final on Sunday at 2pm in Kenny Park. Support for the team on the day would be appreciated.

Under 8's played Athenry on Friday evening, Abbey fielded 3 teams of 8 and competed in 9 games, coming out on top in 5 games. Thanks to Gerry Burns, Lee Cosgrave and Gavin Cosgrave who helped out with the matches.Panel who travelled on Friday evening, Daire Wynne,Shane Forde,Cian Dolan,Alex Boyle,Tom Joyce,Michael Killarney,Jamie Cosgrave,Darragh Maloney,Kieren Burns,Finian Murray,Shane Flesk,Ben Price,Patrick Balfe,Conor Mannion,Darragh O'Connor,Kevin Brogan,Cathal Fahy, Eoghan Shanley,Grainne Molloy,Jean Kelly,Rachel Burns,Nicole Cosgrave,Michael Keary, Alan Brown. Sunday morning training was replaced by a match against Tuam,well done to all the panel on a great game coming out on top at the end. The under 8's have been invited to a Blitz in Ballinasloe on Saturday 28th,throw in a 11.Other teams participating are Loughrea and Sarsfields. This will be a great challenge for Abbey team so a full turnout would be great.

In Camogie, training continues this Wednesday at 7pm for all under age players. The last weekly training session will be Wednesday 2nd October when we will break for a few weeks before resuming with the Winter Programme. U12's lost the North Board Shield Final by just one goal to Ahascragh/Caltra. It was a hard fought game and our girls fought back from 3 goals down particularly in the 2nd half. The game finished Abbeyknockmoy 2-0 to Ahascragh/Caltra 3-0. Thanks to all our parents and supporters who turned up on the day. The U14's are out in the North Board Shield final this Saturday at 12 noon in Fohenagh pitch, with our Abbey girls playing against Mountbellew. Support for the team would be appreciated.

Round 3 of the schools competition continues this week with Briarfield V's Crumlin/Annagh and Monivea V's Newtown. In last weeks games Crumlin/Annagh won against Monivea and Newtown won their game against Newtown. This evenings games should tell who will be playing for the Joe & Ann O'Connell Cup and who will play for the Bernie Moran Shield. However depending on the results we could see a play off situation, only time will tell. Supporters and spectators are welcome. Games commence at 6pm on Wednesday evening.

Congrats to Leona & Cathal Duffy on the birth of their baby boy and also congrats to Colette & Keith Ruane on the birth of their baby boy. The club extends its deepest sympaties to the Langan family, Abbey rd. on the death of John Joe Langan. We also extend our sympathies to the Killarney family, Ryehill on the passing of Mick Cosgrove, Tuam. Sincere condolences to McWalter family also at this time.

Abbeyknockmoy Hurling Club social is on this Saturday 28th in McGanns. Doors open from 8pm with '88 team photo being taken at 9pm. Hot buffet with a selection of salads available & live entertainment by The Keanes. Tickets on sale at €15 and can be purchased from club officers or at the door on the night. We also have a commemorative DVD which has been specially created to look back on the history of Abbeyknockmoy Hurling and in particular on the team of '88. The DVD "Glory for the Red & Blue" will be on sale on the night but you can also purchase online by visiting our website  We also have some very special guests lined up for the night, which promises to be a great nights entertainment.
