Lotto: numbers drawn this week were 5, 6, 17, 26. There was no jackpot winner nor any match 3's this week. Next weeks jackpot is €4,700 and the draw will be in Ryans Bar.

Hurling: Well done to our U16's who are through to the county final having defeated Sylane last Thursday on a scoreline of 4-14 to 1-4.Hard luck to the Minor team who were beaten by Killimor last Wednesday.Well done to the Galway Minors and commiserations to Paul Flaherty and the Galway Intermediate team who lost out to Kilkenny. Best of luck to the U21 this weekend as they play Clare in the Semi-Finals.

Camogie: Under age training every Wednesday at 7pm and then Junior B/Minor/U16's training every Tuesday & Thursday at 7pm.
Best of luck to our Junior B team who are playing the last of their group games against St. Thomas this week. Results will be posted on our facebook page.
Good luck to the U9's who are playing a home game this Friday at 6:30pm V's Sylane. Players are asked to be in Abbey for 6:15pm. Supporters always welcome to cheer on our young ladies.
Congratulations to the Galway Senior Camogie team who've booked their place in the All Ireland Final after their defeat over Wexford at the weekend. Best of luck this weekend to the Intermediate team when they take on Waterford.

General: Huge congratulations to Michelle Joyce, Darina Keane & their Galway Minor Ladies football team who were crowned the All Ireland Champions after their nail biting victory over Dublin last weekend.Also, congratulations to Anna Lally and the U14 Galway Camogie team who won the National U15 title in Thurles last Saturday, what a fantastic achievement. 

'Run in the Woods, 2013' on Sunday 1st September @ 12 noon in the Monivea Woods. Registration online at www.runireland.com or http://www.activeglobal.com/ie/running/galway-ireland/run-in-the-woods-2013 or indeed on the morning of race in Kelly's Monivea from 10:30am.Race entry is €15, Family entry is €20 which includes a 5x7 portrait at the finish line and the childrens race which is on in the village at 1:30pm is €5 with all entries receiving a certificate & goodie bag plus great prizes for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers.As with last years run, a donation from the funds raised will be going to CONSOLE, the national suicide charity.

Finally, well done to Marie Devane and all the Abbeyknockmoy Set Dancers who achieved great results over the weekend in Derry. The U12 & U15 girls came 1st in their category as well as 3 groups coming in 2nd place.
