There was no jackpot winner this week. Congratulations to Julia Lane, Laragh who matched three numbers and receives €40. The numbers drawn were 3, 9, 21 and 26. Next week's draw for €1,700 will take place in Mannion's Bar.

There will be a finance meeting this evening (Wednesday) at 9pm at the club house.

We have received a great response from our local businesses who have taken an advertising spot on a club calender for 2014. We thank them for their support. The calenders will be available in the coming weeks for free locally.

Just a reminder that the 'Glory for the Red & Blue' DVD is still available to purchase through club officers and in the parish shops & cost €25. The double disc DVD which was produced to commemorate the team of 88's victory also looks back over the history of hurling in the parish over the years and captures some fantastic moments. With Christmas just around the corner this DVD would make an ideal gift for anyone involved in the sport or from the parish.

Our intermediate player Tommy Farragher is to travel as part of a group of volunteers early in the new year to Mombasa, Kenya where they are to build classrooms for primary school children and also assisting with a feeding programme for 100 preschool children. As part of Tommy's Ray of Hope Foundation work next month in Kenya the club will hold a fundraising Road Hurling event on Saturday the 21st of December. Registration will take place in McGann's from 1pm. Adult team entry €40 and junior (U-16) entry €20. Teams will be made up of 3 players and a referee. The course is 3 miles long. Your support is appreciated. All funds raised go directly to the foundation.
