Congratulations to Adrian Forde, Crumlin Bridge who matched four numbers and claimed the jackpot of €2,000. Bernie Flaherty, Ballyskea matched  three numbers and receives €40. The numbers drawn were 3, 5, 13 and 20. Next week's draw for €1,500 will take place in Moran's Bar. 

Finance meeting this Wednesday at 9.30pm.

Our under-age AGM took place last Sunday evening which was well attended. Chairman Michael Coleman gave a detailed report on all the U-age activities over the course of the year with the highlights been success in the U-16 Co. C/ship and U-14 Fheile Success. In addition U-15 were beaten in Co. C/ship final and U-13 in the Co. Shield final and he thanks all managers and selectors for their great efforts with those teams. On the 6-12 age group again he complemented all managers and selectors for their work and commitment  where a large amount of games in the League, East Galway league, Garda T/ment and Blitz’s were played with successes in the Kay Williams T/ment (U-12) &, CATS T/ment (U-6, U-8 & U-10) being the highlights. All team managers gave a comprenshive report on how their teams fared during the course of the year.  On the schools front, he congratulated Monivea on there success in the Fr. O. Brien Cup and Crumlin/Annagh on Shield success and welcomed the addition of the School camogie T/ment where Crumlin had success In the Joe & Anne O’Connell cup and Monivea in the Bernie Moran Shield. These events are well anchored in the school calendar and are growing from strength to strength. Sincere thanks to all the parents who helped out sponsorship, transport, refreshments etc. and the referees, linesmen & umpires who helped sometimes at very short notice in having the games played and to all club officers for there help and support. Congrats were also offered to Brian & Paul Flaherty with their involved with Galway senior & U-21 teams and Cathal Cooley on making U-14 development squad. Again fund raising is a constant on going activity and he urged all parents to be actively involved to help in defraying the costs of running such a large amount of club activity.

Sean Moran, U-15 Mgt. Fintan Cosgrove, U-14 Mgt. Michael Coleman, U-13 & 12 Mgt. Declan Molloy, U-10 Mgt. Gerry Quirke, U-8 Mgt. Adrian Forde, U-6 Mgt. Willie Brown.

As we enter this new year club membership falls due. Membership fees are as follows: Adult Player €50, Non-playing/Social Adult €20, Student Membership €30, Family Membership (All children under 18 years of age) €100, 1no. Juvenile Player €20, 2no. Juvenile players €35, 3no. Juvenile players €45, Lotto Membership (3 lines) €250, Monthly Draw (includes family membership) €240. Payment can be made to any club officer or online through our club website membership page. Monthly draw and lotto subscriptions are due for renewal, please contact Catherine on 087 6900352 to arrange payment.

This year Abbeyknockmoy Hurling Club will be publishing a Yearbook which will detail all club activities during the year, in hurling, camogie and handball.The Yearbook will include an Archive section and we would ask all those involved with the club, in any capacity,  since its inception 60 years ago to submit their newspaper clippings, photos, and any other pertinent archive material.These will be promptly scanned and returned.The Yearbook will be compiled by the Club's Asst. Treasurer Catherine Forde who previously compiled the history of Crumlin N.S. in 2010 and subsequently received a County Heritage Award for that publication. We look forward then to a Yearbook that the Club and Community can be proud of. Catherine can be contacted at 0876900352

There is a limited supply of the club DVD 'Glory for the Red & Blue' and is available to purchase through club officers and in the parish shops at a cost €25. We thank all who have purchased this piece of memorabilia and hope they enjoyed it.
