Lotto: This weeks numbers are 12, 14, 15, 27. There was no jackpot winner and no match 3's. Next weeks jackpot is €2,000 and the draw will be in Kelly's Bar, Monivea. The Lotto can now also be played in O’Donohoe’s shop near the National lotto desk. Tickets will be collected Monday night before 9pm.

Hurling: Training continues for all adult players this Friday at 7.30pm. Due to the floodlight failure during our Tain league game against Athleague the match was cancelled and will be refixed in the coming weeks. In the third round game we play Tooreen in the 3G all weather pitches in Ballyhaunis this Sunday at 1pm.

U-21's defeated Moycullen last Sunday on a full time scoreline of 4-10 to 0-11. Playing against a stiff wind in the first half Abbey trailed by a point 1-2 to 6 points. Abbey tightened up in defence in the second and with midfield and the forwards took control of the game to rattle 3 goals and 4 points in the second half. It was a strong performance by the team and now look forward to a second round game against Portumna. Date will be finalised in the coming days. The team was; Dean Keary, Tom Warde, Thomas Blade, Cathal Mannion, Adrian McDonnell, Paul Flaherty, Paul Cooley, Michael O'Brien, Eoin Blade, Colm Mannion, Shane King, Daniel Flaherty (0-6, 5 frees), Eoin Loftus, Padraic MacMaighnius (1-4), Sean McCarthy (3-0). Subs used Cathal Laheen & Vinny Lally. Well done to both players and management.

U-14 training continues this Friday at 6.30pm. There are fixtures in the Suck Valley league this weekend for minors and U-14's. Managament to confirm time and date of both games.

Camogie: Under 14/16 training continues as usual this week and next week. Camogie Club meeting next Wednesday 20th at 9:30pm. All are welcome to attend.

Friday night last saw the launch of 'Who wants to be a Thousandaire'. A big thank you to our major sponsors and indeed to those who came along to show their support. Tickets for the main event on March 15th in The Abbey Inn at 9pm and are on sale now through any club officer or at the door on the night. On the ticket stub where you put in your name you have the option of nominating someone else to play for you should your ticket be pulled out. Or indeed if you want to buy a ticket to support the event but aren't able to attend on the night then there is a box at the bottom and if you tick this then a member from our panel will play on your behalf and any money won will go directly to you. Tickets are €10.

The Astro Turf pitch, indoor hall and indoor handball alley have time slots available. If you are interested in booking a slot.

Congratulations to J.P. Fahy & Laura O'Connor on the birth of their baby girl and to Sean & Siobhan Langan on the birth of their baby girl.

Best of look to the Monivea-Abbey U-21 footballers who are in championship action this weekend.

Commiserations to Brian Costello and his St. Gabriel's team mates who were defeated in the Intermediate All-Ireland club final at the weekend.

The club extends its sympathies to the Jordan family, Brierfield, on the recent death of Mrs. Madge Jordan.
