Lotto results: Numbers drawn were 1, 5, 11, 15. There was no jackpot winner nor any match 3 winners. Next weeks jackpot is now up to €9,800, this draw and the monthly members draw will take place in the Woodside Bar, Monivea.

Hurling: Intermediate training is on Thursday at 7:30pm in preparation for the championship which takes place this Sunday in Ballindereen at 1pm against Kilconieron. Support on the day would be appreciated. U14's had a good win against Carnmore, final score 2-13 to 0-3. Next U14 match V's Skehana is on Monday evening in Skehana at 6:30pm. U14 training as usual this Wednesday at 6:30pm. The U10's first game of the year kicks off this Friday 27th at home in Abbey V's Ahascragh-Fohenagh,throw in at 7:00pm, all players are requested to be at the pitch at 6:30pm.

Minor match V St. Thomas's was cancelled on Sunday. The game has been re-fixed for this evening (tue 24th) in Abbey. Throw in at 7pm. Support for the team appreciated.

Note: junior game this evening is cancelled.

Camogie: Under age training continues Wed eve from 7 - 8pm. There is an U8's & U12's blitz on at the pitch this Saturday 28th at 1pm. The U14's play Skehana this Friday in Skehana at 7pm as part of the North Board League. Your support would be appreciated. The U10's had the 1st of their blitz games last Saturday morning. There was a great turnout from all teams on the day, the weather was in our favour but the highlight of the day was the U10 team. They put in a wonderful display and all their hard work in training paid off as they won their 1st match and drew on the 2nd match. There will be more about this in next weeks paper.

The camogie club are holding a church gate collection this weekend on Sat eve & Sunday morning Mass in Abbeyknockmoy, Ryehill & Brooklodge churches. Your support would be very much appreciated as funds raised will go towards purchasing more training equipment for the under age children. Also, on Saturday 5th May we are holding our 'Car wash day' in various locations. More details to follow soon, but as always your support is appreciated.

Well done to Brian Flaherty & Galway Seniors on retaining division 1A status in the hurling league. Congrats to Paul Flaherty & Abbey Set Dancers on finishing second last weekend in Killarney. Commiserations to Monivea RFC on their weekend defeat to Ards in the All-Ireland League play-off qualifier.

The club wish to extend their deepest sympathies to the Langan and the Williams families on the recent death of Cathal Ford from Gort, who passed away in England. May he Rest in Peace. Also, sincere condolences to Marie Higgins, Abbert on the death of her mum Kathleen Kavanagh, Highfield, R.I.P.
