Congrats to the 6 match 3's winners who are Martin Tracey, Pat & Eileen McKeogh, Bernie Potter, Patricia & Michelle Tully, Pierce Joyce and Monivea/Abbey Football Club who each receive €40. Next weeks lotto is on in Kelly's and the jackpot is €12,400. The Members Monthly draw is on next week so can all ensure they are paid up to date to be included in the draw. If anyone wants to join the draw contact 086-8159309. Every month there is a guaranteed cash give away of €1000!

Hurling: Hard luck to the U16 hurlers who were defeated at the weekend in the County Finals with a full-time score of Mountbellew 4-7 to 1-10. Abbey were always chasing the game but a score from Eoin Loftus left us only a goal behind and with just over 5 mins of the game remaining the scoreline was at 1-9 to 3-6. The Abbey side really put in an intense effort to narrow the difference but unfortunately the 1st half performance from Mountbellew left us with too much work to do in the 2nd half. Mountbellew finished stronger in the final minutes and won the game with a 6 point lead. The team on the day were Glen Moran, Dylan Keane, Tomas Warde, Dylan Moran, Tomas Mullery, Caoilin Mullery, Barry Loftus, Michael O'Brien, Fionnan Garvey, Joey Boyle, Eoin Maher, Jason Flaherty, Martin Finn, Eoin Loftus & Liam McCarthy. Subs: Lee Cosgrove, Tony King, Matt Cosgrove, John McHugh and Cian Murphy. The management would like to thank the following people: firstly all the parents for making sandwiches for the team on the day, to O'Donohoe's Bar for supplying the hot food, Sinead Garvey for contacting all the parents with various messages on behalf of the management & to Declan Molloy who made all the necessary arrangements for the teams arrival back at the Club.
