General news: Last Sunday, Abbeyknockmoy hurling & camogie had a joint outing to Croke Park to watch what was an amazing & historic game for Galway hurling. Many thanks to Confey hurling club for hosting our Intermediate team, parents and kids and for providing us with challenge games during our stop off to Croke Park. Their welcome & hospitality was fantastic and very much appreciated. Sincere thanks to all the parents & mentors who helped out on the day. Also, many thanks to Kelly's Bar, Monivea for looking after the intermediate team. Last week we had the GAA Cul Camp in Abbeyknockmoy & despite the weather we had a fantastic turn out for it, which was great as it showed the level of interest in hurling & camogie within the parish. The kids had a great week in which they learned new skills, made new friends & more importantly, had lots of fun! Well done & thank you to all involved. Finally, a huge thank you to all who supported our prediction card fundraiser. The winner of which was Ger King from Corafaireen who had predicted the closest score and wins himself € 150.
