Camogie: Our Under 14s played a challenge match against Skehana on Friday evening last which ended up in a draw 3-0 to 3-0. It was a very tough game with both teams having chances to win it. We led by 3 goals to 1 in the 1st half but Skehana came back to level it in the second half. Our goalie and backs were under a lot of pressure in the second half but they would not give in & our midfield and forwards kept attacking but Skehana would not give in either. It was a fair result on the day as neither team deserved to lose such a hard fought game. The team was in goals R. Laheen, the backs A. Forde, M. Keane, A. Lally, S. Laffey, midfield was B. Greaney, L. Rabbitte, A. Maher & our forwards were M. walsh (2 goals) A. Miller, Z. Weir (1 goal) & C. Burke. M. Miller came on as a sub for B. Greaney.

Under age training continues as usual this eve (Wed) from 7 - 8pm.

There is a camogie club meeting at the club tonight (Wed 18th) at 9:15pm. We ask that all parents of under age players, managers & adult players attend if possible. The camogie club are holding a church gate collection on the weekend of 28th & 29th at Abbeyknockmoy, Ryehill & Brooklodge churches. Your support would be very much appreciated as funds raised will go towards purchasing more equipment for training the under age children.

The club wish to extend their deepest sympathies to the families of Aidan Nicholson from Abbeyknockmoy, Colette Dolan in Monivea, the Finnerty family from Ballyglunin & also to the family of Michael Forde.

Congratulations to Rosemarie Finnerty & Ian Buck who got married at the weekend.
