Hurling: Our U-12 team competed in the Ocean Hygiene U-12 finals last weekend where they had a good win over Spiddal on a score line of 5-2 to 1-6. This was the teams final outing where they had a reasonably successful year where they only lost one game out of six and on behalf of the management we want to thank all the players and parents for there efforts in attending all the games.

The Fr. O'Brien cup continues with Crumlin/Annagh defeating Monivea on Monday evening. The final of the cup competition takes place this evening (wed) in Abbey at 5.45 where Newtown play Crumlin/Annagh to be followed by the shield final either on Thur or Fri. this week. We wish all the players in the schools the best of luck where they have put in a big effort to date and support welcome for both finals.

Camogie: Under age training is finished for the winter however there will be skills workshops & other events going on over the winter which we'll notify each group of by text. This eve (Wednesday) there is training from 7-8pm for the U13's who are playing in the North Board final this Sunday in Abbey at 11am. Please come & lend your support to our U13 girls.

Junior B training is continuing over the winter on Tuesdays from 8 - 9pm, with an emphasis on fitness & skills. New members welcome to join at any stage.

Last Wednesday saw the launch of the 'Schools Development Plan' which is a Camogie Club initiative to promote the sport within the schools. Over the summer months we've been working hard to gather funds for this development project which will see coaches from the Camogie Club providing free coaching sessions in the 5 schools in the parish. This fund has also allowed us to purchase equipment for each school which will ensure that each child can participate in the training.

Over the winter we'll also be developing our U16s team so if anyone is interested in joining Abbeyknockmoy Camogie to train and play with the Club then contact us on or 087-6361836.

General news: The Club extend their sympathies to McGann & Shaughnessy families on the recent death of Ann Shaughnessy. May she Rest in Peace.
