There was no jackpot winner in this week's Lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 5, 11 and 25. Congratulations to Willie McDonnell, Alan Treacy and Mark & Anne Flaherty on being this weeks match 3 winners. Next week's draw takes place in Kelly's, jackpot €5,200. Supporters are encouraged to avail Direct Debit as a convenient means of playing the club's Lotto on a weekly basis; the direct debit mandate can be downloaded from the club website.

Intermediate and Junior training continues Thursday at 7.30pm sharp. Intermediates were defeated by Kilnadeema-Leitrim last Friday evening in the championship in Ballinasloe by 3-12 to 0-16. Abbey started with the wind at their backs but it was Kilnadeema who started the brighter. Eventually Abbey grew into the game and with points from frees and from play by Brian and Paul Flaherty Abbey took control of the rest of the half to lead 9-7 at the break. Indeed, Abbey could have been further ahead only for some wayward shooting and a great save from the Kilnadeema keeper to deny Coleman Maher. The second half was a much different affair when Kilnadeema managed to score goals from a debatable penalty and 21 yard free. However, Abbey showed some great ability against the breeze to recover to lead 0-15 to 2-8 with points from the O'Donnells, Cooleys and Flahertys. The game turned on its head with five minutes to go though when former county player, David Tierney got in behind the Abbey defence for 1-2. Kilnadeema eventually ran out comfortable winners. Abbey now play Ahasgragh-Fohenagh in a play off match to decide who gets out of the group. However, Abbey have every reason to be confident going into this match as they played excellently at times in the last two weeks against Cappataggle and Kilnadeema and with a bit of luck and more composure in front of goal could well be top of the group. Team on the day was: Declan Molloy, Stephen Ruane, Tommy Farragher, Daniel Mullins, David Coleman, Kieran Flaherty, Ger Ruane, Ronan Cooley (0-1), Padraig O'Donnell (0-1), Paul Flaherty (0-6, 2 65's, 4fs), Brian Flaherty (0-5), Brian O'Donnell (0-1), Darren Collins, Brian Cooley (0-1), Coleman Maher. Subs: Padraic MacMaighnus (0-1), Tom Blade... Toco. Juniors are scheduled to commence championship this weekend v St. Columba's, please check fixtures list for time, date and venue of the game. For the record our championship group includes; St Columbas, An Spiddal, Killimordaly, Killimor, Kilnadeema/ Leitrim.
