There was no jackpot winner in this week's Lotto. The numbers drawn were 1, 14, 22 and 24. Next week's draw takes place in Moran's, jackpot €5,400. Congratulations to Gerry Murphy, Claregalway and Malachy Lally, Monastery rd., on being this weeks match three winners. Supporters are encouraged to avail Direct Debit as a convenient means of playing the club's Lotto on a weekly basis; the direct debit mandate can be downloaded from the club website. This months members draw will take place in Moran's Bar this Monday the 27th of June.

Intermediates had a good win over Annaghdown in the Reeves Cup last Wednesday, final score 2-13 to 2-11. Team on the day was Declan Molloy, Stephen Ruane, Tommy Farragher, Thomas Blade, Ger Ruane, Kieran Flaherty, David Coleman, Ronan Cooley, Padraig O'Donnell, Brian O'Donnell, John Culkin, Coleman Maher, Eoin Blade, Brian Cooley, Darren Collins. Sub used Gerry Farragher for Padraig O'Donnell. Training continues Thursday for all adult players at 7.30pm. Juniors were in championship action against Killimor last night (Tuesday). Report to follow in next weeks edition.

Minor and U-16 training continues this Firday at 7.30pm. We are fixed to play Mountbellew in our second championship group game this Sunday. Management to confirm venue. We play Padraig Pearses on the 2nd of July and Cois Fharraighe on the 6th of July in our other upcoming group games.

Feile 2011 commences this Friday, Abbey take on Ballina James Stephens, whom we host this weekend, at 3pm in Abbey, next up are Eoin Ruadh, Dungannon on Saturday morning at 10am in Ballymacward with our final group game Saturday afternoon at 12.15pm against Padraig Pearses. Two team from our Group A will qualify and the winners from group B and C progress to the semi-finals. Group A winners play Group B winners in Ballinasloe at 5.30pm Saturday and Group A runners-up face Group C winners in Carnmore at 5.30pm Saturday. The final is scheduled for 10am Sunday morning in Pearse Stadium on Sunday, there will be six divisional finals on the day. Support for the team much appreciated. Many thanks to all who bought tickets for our Feile fundraising night last Saturday in O'Donohue's and congratulations to Stephen Ruane on being the main prize winner.

Under-age hurling for under 8's,10's & 12's continues this Sunday from 12.30 to 1.30 and all are welcome. All are welcome.

We are holding a Fundraising Golf Classic on Saturday 30th of July (Bank Holiday Weekend) in Mountbellew Golf Club. Subscription for a team of four is €100. Time slots can be accommodated on Friday as well. This years VHI Club Cul Camps takes places between the dates Monday 4th of July to the 8th of July. Online registration and further details are available on www.vhiculcamps.gaa.ie. Alternatively contact Pat Cooley on 086 3470678. A week of hectic games, skills and fun sessions are guaranteed, led by full-qualified lead coaches, who will be assisted by highly-qualified and very enthusiastic coaches. Each child will receive the official camp gear, consisting of a jersey, socks, togs and a gear bag. Cost is €60 per child; €50 for 2nd child in family; and €45 for other siblings.

Camogie: Training this evening (Wednesday) from 7-8pm at the club grounds for all age groups, training to be outside. Please come along.

Congratulations to Alan Mulry and Maureen Adair who married recently and to Michelle Moran and Eoin Keane on the birth of their baby boy.

The club extends its deepest sympathies to the Rabbitte & Conroy families, Athenry & Monivea on the recent death of Annie Rabbitte.
