This weeks Lotto was held in Moran's Bar, the numbers drawn were 8, 15, 20 and 28. There were no Jackpot winner, congratulations to Sean Langan on being the only match three winner. The jackpot now stands at €6,200 and will be held next week in O'Donohue's Bar next week.

Intermediate and junior training continues Thursday at 7.30pm. Intermediates played a challenge versus Carnmore yesterday (Tuesday). The Juniors went to Renmore on Thursday last with the intention of playing St Columba's in the ACC league. However as they could only field fourteen players we agreed to play a challenge and Darren Collins went on loan for the night to them to make fifteen aside. He nearly cost us the game as a well taken point from him put them in the lead with time almost up but we put two more points over to win by the narrowest of margins. It was a good run out for everyone and as in the championship St. Columba's caused us lots of problems. Best for Abbeyknockmoy were Dean Keary, making his debut for us in goal and Trevor Mullins, new to the half-back line giving a man of the match display. Team; D Keary, F Conroy, K Higgins, N Keary, P Flaherty, T Blade, T Mullins, D Blade J Conroy, D Moran, E Flaherty, R Lally, V Lally, M Flaherty, E Blade; Subs (all used) R Culkin, K Lally, S Lally, C Cooley, G Farragher. Our final group match in the championship is a "winner takes all" against Spiddal on Friday at 7.15pm in Turloughmore.

Minors are in championship action against Mountbellew Sunday evening at 6.30pm in Ahascragh.

Under 10's train this Friday at 7pm in Abbey. Under-age hurling for under 6's, 8's, 10's & 12's Sunday from 12.30 to 1.30 and all are welcome.

Camogie: Training this evening (Wednesday) from 7-8pm at the club grounds for all other underage groups at 7pm, players are asked to bring runners in case training may have to take place inside. The Camogie Club are looking for some more volunteers to help with coaching and supervision of the kids at training sessions. If anyone is available to do so then either contact Sharon Gannon 087-6361836 or speak to us.

Congratulations to Yvonne & Gerry Farragher on the birth of their baby girl. Congrats to the Monivea/Abbey footballers on their championship quarter final victory at the weekend.

The club extends its deepest sympathies to the Daly family, Newtown on the death of Maureen Brady.
