This weeks Lotto was held in Ryan's Bar & Lounge, the numbers drawn were 15, 22, 25 and 27. There were no Jackpot or match 3 winner this week. The jackpot now stands at €6,600 and will be held next week in Woodside Bar next week.

Intermediate & junior training continues Thursday evening at 7pm. Intermediates are in championship action at the weekend versus Ahascragh-Fohenagh, throw in is at 5.30pm Sunday evening in Ballinasloe. In a winner takes all game, support for the lads very much appreciated.

Minors defeated Carnmore last Friday evening to reach the county final in the B1 grade. Final score was 1-12 to 1-10. We now look forward to a county final versus Liam Mellows. Minor & U-16 training continues this Friday at 7pm. U-16's drew with Mountbellew-Moylough in their championship semi-final last Monday evening. Final score 2-7 to 1-10.

U-13 defeated Spiddal last week. Training this Thursday at 6.15 in Abbey. Under-age hurling for under 6's, 8's, 10's & 12's Sunday from 12.30 to 1.30 and all are welcome. The CATS hurling finals are in Carnmore this Friday at 6pm.

Camogie: Well done to the U-12 girls who put on a great display during half time of the Camogie intermediate final in Croke Park last Sunday and a huge thank you to all who helped out on the day, you know who you are, many thanks. There was one winner from the score prediction sheets for the senior match  Galway v Wexford. Congrats to Mary Murphy from Athenry who predicted Wexford to win 2-07 to 1-09, the €150 jackpot is on its way to her.

Under 8's, 10's & 12's training as normal Wed evening (this evening) from 7 - 8pm.

Coaching the Coaches:  A course will be run on Saturday 24th September from 10am - 3pm at the club and costs €20. The course covers a broad spectrum and is a minimum requirement for all coaches and managers as part of the Croke Park directive. As with all courses numbers are limited so please contact Sharon on  087-6361836 to book your place.

Congratulations to the Galway U-21's who claimed another All-Ireland last weekend, commiserations to the Galway senior camogie team who suffered defeat in their final. Congratulations to Dawn & Oran Finn on the recent birth of their baby boy. Congratulations to James & Ciara O'Donohue on their marriage at the weekend.

The club extends its deepest sympathies to Mannion family, Carrarea on the recent death of Canon Thomas Mannion. Canon Mannion was a member of the junior team in the 1960 who won a county championship.
