Our Scrap collection continues this weekend, the last couple of weekends have gone very well, we would like to thank everyone who supported us, we are going to continue collection for the coming week. If you have any old Scrap that you want to get rid of please contact any club officer and we will arrange collection. All scrap accepted especially old batteries, lead and copper.

There was no jackpot winner in this week's Lotto. Congratulations to Sean Finnerty, Martin Treacy and Vinny Collins on being this weeks match three winner. The numbers drawn were 4, 9, 23, 26. Next week's draw takes place in the Ryans, jackpot €4,300. Supporters are encouraged to avail Direct Debit as a convenient means of playing the club's Lotto on a weekly basis; the direct debit mandate can be downloaded from the club website.

Intermediate and Junior training continues this Friday at 7.30pm sharp. Intermediates played Ballindereen last evening in the league. U-21's crashed out of the championship last Sunday evening to the hands of Kilnadeema-Leitrim on a final scoreline 3-11 to 2-08. Abbey raced into to an early lead leading 6 points at one stage during the first half only for K/Leitrim to narrow the margin to two points at half time. Half time score 2-06 - 1-07 playing against a strong breeze. After the break Abbey failed to build on their hard earned first half lead only hitting two scores in the second half to K/Leitrim's 2-4 to run out winners in the end. Team on the day Dean Keary, Thomas Blade, Danny Mullins, Eanna Roche, Colman Maher, John Blade (Capt.), Joseph Conroy, Paul Flaherty,Padhraic MacMaghnuis, Daniel Collins, Brian Flaherty, Trevor Mullins, Caolin Blade, Eoin Flaherty, Eoin Blade. Subs used Craig Kennedy, Colm Mannion and Vinny Lally. The management of Brian O'Donnell, Declan Molloy, Tony Smyth, Keith Ruane and Padraig O'Donnell thanked the large panel of players that had put in such huge effort since early February.

Juniors have been fixed to play Salthill-Knocknacarra in the league this Sunday at 6pm in Salthill. Minor training continues this Thursday at 7.30pm.

U-14's defeated Ballindereen 4-3 to 1-1 in the Toddy Bryne shield. U-14 also look forward to the Suck Valley League Final next Sunday at 11am in Padraig Pearse's GAA grounds Roscommon. Support for the team appreciated.

Underage indoor camogie continues this Wednesday from 6-8pm at the club grounds. Coaching by Caroline Murray current Galway camogie star. Please come along.

Club membership is due and can be submitted to any club officer; membership is set this year at €50 per adult player, €30 per student adult player, €20 per ordinary member and underage is as follows €20 for 1st Child, €15 for 2nd child, and €10 for third child in one family.

Under-age hurling for under 8's,10's & 12's commences this Sunday from 12.30 to 1.30 and all are welcome. All are welcome. We would be appreciative if spare underage helmets could be returned to the club to sell on to the up and coming hurlers in the club.

Handball membership is now due for the use of the Handball alley. Patrons can either pay €60 for the year's membership or avail of membership through buying the weekly hurling lotto ticket through direct debit. Application forms can be obtained through any club official or at the handball alley. The indoor handball alley accommodates alternative games such as racket ball, squash, etc. contact any club officers for details of available times, etc, email the club abbeyknockmoyhurling@gmail.com or simply log on to the website.

Underage handball for 4th, 5th and 6th classes continues this Monday evening in the indoor alley from 7-8pm for the upcoming national school competitions.

The club would wish that cups that were presented to the club over the previous year's be returned to any club officer so they can be put on display at the club grounds.

Congratulations to Brian Flaherty on winning and U-21 Connacht Football with Galway, the Monivea RFC U-19's on their Connacht cup win last Saturday, St. Bernards soccer on their cup win Saturday and to Paddy Flaherty on winning an All-Ireland inter firms medal with Medtronic.
