The Fr.O'Brien cup and shield came to a conclusion last week with Crumlin taking the honours for the 1st time against Monivea. In what was a very entertaining game with both sides committed to the cause of their respective schools, it could not be much closer with the lead changing a couple of times, however Crumlin held on for a narrow one point victory. In the shield competition held on Thursday, Monivea put in a very strong performance against a young Newtown side in a very entertaining game to collect the shield. Overall the competition held over the last 3 weeks was of a high standard, which was both entertaining and competitive. Special thanks to the management teams, namely Niahm Molloy, Vincent Brandley, Ann Keane & Tommy Devane who put in a lot of work in preparing the teams. Sean Moran, Mike Tarpey & Steven Ruane for lining the pitches and officiating at the games, it was much appreciated. Special thanks to Fr. Joe O'Brien for making the presentations on both days and finally to the parents for the great support for the respective teams & the people who helped out with refreshments.

Camogie: Commiserations to the U-12 team who defeated in the North Board Shield Final last Saturday. We are organising a table quiz on Friday the 4th of November in the Woodside Bar & Lounge at 9.30pm. All funds going to the club. Prizes for the winner and runners up. Finger food and raffle also. Support as always very much appreciated.
