Their was no jackpot winner in the Joe Coleman Roofing & Carpentry Sponsored Lotto last Monday night. Congrats to Timmy Gilmore and Kathleen Cooley on being this week's match three winners. The numbers drawn were 8, 13, 15 and 17. Next weeks draw takes place in Kelly's, jackpot €6,500. Supporters are encouraged to avail Direct Debit as a convenient means of playing the club's Lotto on a weekly basis, the direct debit mandate can be downloaded from the club website.

We are holding a Fundraising event on the 4th of April in O'Donohue's Bar & Lounge. Tickets are on sale for €20. First prize is €2,000, second €500 and there will be five €100 prizes. Tickets are on sale now from club officials and players, your continued support is welcomed and appreciated.

In conjunction with the Monivea/Abbey Football Club and Ladies Football Club, Abbeyknockmoy Hurling Club are holding a Parish GAA Social in the Claregalway Hotel on the 20th of April honouring the 1960 Junior Hurling County Championship Team, the 1985 Intermediate Hurling County Championship Team, presentations will be made to the current Intermediate Hurling Team for their City League Success and runners up medals from the Intermediate League 2008 as well as the football honouring teams of past and present. Tickets for € 25 are on sale from this weekend from club delegates in what should be a great night for all parish GAA supporters.

U-21's were knocked out of the championship losing to Padraig Pearses on a final score line of 3-13 to 1-13 in Turloughmore last Saturday afternoon. In a disappointing performance for the team, Tom Blade, John Blade, Brian Flaherty, Danny Mullins, David Carton and Man of the Match Paul Flaherty hitting 1-10 from midfield won their battles. Team was; Eoin Flaherty, Kieran Flaherty, David Carton, Tom Blade, Paddy Flaherty, John Blade, Colm Flaherty, Paul Flaherty (1-10), Conor Ruane, Danny Mullins, Brian Flaherty (0-03), Trevor Mullins, Sean McCarthy, Vinny Lally, Eoin Blade. Subs Conor Cooley for Conor Ruane, Daniel Collins for Trevor Mullins Kevin Haverty for Sean McCarthy, Kevin King, Declan Collins, Niall Murphy, David Keane. The management team of Brian O'Donnell, Tony Smyth, Declan Molloy, Padraig O'Donnell and Cathal Duffy would like to thank the players for their commitment for the last two months. We wish Tom Blade a speedy recovery from surgery on his hand last Monday.

Intermediates defeated Rahoon Newcastle in the City League Final, 3-09 to 3-04. Team on the day, Declan Molloy, David Carton, Brian Cooley, Richis Fox, Ger Ruane, Brian Costello, Padraig O'Donnell, Ronan Cooley (capt., 0-2), Danny Mullins, Brian O'Donnell (0-1), Brendan Burke (0-1), Brian Flaherty (1-5), Darren Collins (0-1), Kieran Flaherty (2-0), John Blade. Subs used Paddy Flaherty. Abbey were best served on the day by David Carton, Richard Fox, Brian Flaherty, Brian O'Donnell, Ronan Cooley, Brian Costello (2nd Half) and Darren Collins (2nd Half).

Intermediates are fixed to play Kilconieran in the league this Saturday at 2pm in Kilconieran. Minor & U-16 training this Thursday at 8pm sharp. SVL management to confirm fixtures for the Suck Valley League. Fixtures, tables and results can be viewed on the website.

Under-age hurling for under 8's,10's & 12's commencing this Sunday from 12.15 to 1.30 and all are welcome. Registration forms will be provided on the day.

Best of luck to Colm Flaherty on being invited to play in a 7-aside tournament at half time in the Galway v Offaly hurling league game, we wish him well. Well done to those who took part in the St. Patricks Day parade.
