There was no jackpot winner in the Joe Coleman Roofing & Carpentry Sponsored Lotto last Monday night. Congratulations to Brian Moran, Barry Flaherty and Deniece Murray on being this weeks match three winners. The numbers drawn were 2, 8, 16 and 21. Next weeks draw takes place in the Moran's, jackpot €2,500. Supporters are encouraged to avail Direct Debit as a convenient means of playing the club's Lotto on a weekly basis, the direct debit mandate can be downloaded from the club website.

Intermediate and minor training continues Thursday at 7.30pm. The draw for the preliminary quarter finals took place last Monday evening in the Raheen Woods, intermediates have been drawn against Castlegar. The other pairings are Kilnadeema/Leitrim v Mullagh, Kilconieran v Ballindereen and Rahoon Newcastle v Kilbeacanty. Minors have been drawn against Ballindereen. Minors were defeated by Cappataggle last Saturday evening in Craughwell. Missing Paul Flaherty, Lorcan Laheen and Finbarr Conroy through injury and holidays, the team put in a brave performance but were beaten by a better team on the day in Cappa who in the last few minutes hit 1-3 to edge out a hard fought contest. Final score 2-14 to 0-12. Minor team on the day: Dean Keary, Kevin Divilly, Thomas Blade, Eanna Roche, John Burke, Cathal Laheen, Colm Mannion, Padraig MacMhaighnis, Sean McCarthy, Craig Kennedy, Vinny Lally, Daniel Collins, Caolin Blade, Eoin Blade, Kenneth Garvey. Subs used: Brian Melia and Daniel Flaherty.

With Ballygar unable to field a team last Monday evening U-16's received a walk over. Our remaining game is against Sylane which takes place this Thursday in Sylane at 6.30pm. Support for the team is appreciated.

Under-age hurling for continues for all other age groups to U-12 level this Sunday from 12.30 to 1.30 and all are welcome. We would be appreciative if spare underage helmets could be returned to the club to sell on to the up and coming hurlers in the club.

Commiserations to the Galway minors at the weekend. The club extends its sympathies to the Murphy family, Dereen on the recent death of Margaret.

Best of look to the Monivea-Abbey minor team in action this evening in the North Board A minor semi final.
