Underage Hurling: Underage training for U-6, U-8 & U-10's continues on Fridays at 6.15pm to 7.15pm at Abbeyknockmoy Hurling Pitch. All newcomers welcome to attend. Due to the large numbers of kids we need parents to help out at training please.

U-12’s: Hurling training continues Thursday at 6.30pm.

U14’s: Championship this week Monday 11th v’s Padraig Pearse’s in Abbey at 6.45pm, weather permitting.

Also this coming weekend is the highlight of every underage player when they get a chance to compete in Feile. We have a home game on Friday the 15th when we host St. Thomas’s. Then on Saturday we are being hosted by Tuam HC for the full day where all games will be played in Tuam Stadium. We have a bye in the 1st round and we will play Portumna at 11.50am, followed by Padraig Pearses and Tuam HC. The winner of our group will then proceed to the Toddie Byrne final on Sunday at 12pm in Kenny Park, Athenry. Win lose or draw we hope the players enjoy their Feile weekend.

Under 16’s: We played our 3rd championship game against Kiltomer/Mullagh last Thursday, however the combined forces were a bit too strong for our team who ran out winners on a score of 4-12 to 1-11. Overall the team have to be commended for their efforts and put in a very strong second half display. The next championship game is scheduled for Thursday week.

U-21’s: Well done to our U21's on winning their first championship match of the year against Kiltormer in Kiltormer on a score line of 2-13 to 0-7. Playing into a stiff breeze in the first half we went in at half time down by two points on a score line of 0-5 to 0-7. Two goals from Liam McCarthy in the second half helped to close the game for Abbey. Next up for the U21's is a home championship game v’s Kinvara on Friday evening. Scorers for Abbey, Fionnan Garvey 0-7(0-5f), 2-0 Liam McCarthy and points from Kenneth Garvey, Joey Boyle , Shane Bennett, Caelom Mulry, Jason Flaherty and Cathal Cooley.

All Underage players have to complete and return a membership form with €20 in order to be eligible to play as per directive from Croke Park. Queries to 086 8159309.
