Management Team

L to R: Gerry, Keith, Barney & Brian

Brian Cooley   Gerry Farragher  Keith Ruane  Barney Costello
Loved by Jim Carney, despised by every full forward in the 2000-10 era of Galway club hurling. Once told Pheilim a few home truths about certain Galway hurlers and came out the other side. Very impressive. With all his access to grass cutting equipment has never once cut the field in Abbey. Prefers the more old school use of sheep seemingly. Hoping to be in the Herald next week holding a cup that doesn’t involve a bullock. Gerry spends much of his time now in Milltown where he likes painting, yoga and fishing. Milltown seniors looking closely at him for coaching role next year. Got ruffled up by the Rahoon management in the quarter final. Was well shook after it. Was already guaranteed All Ireland tickets for the rest of his life anyway but then sickened us all by marrying Collette. Surely Pádraig is good for a few too. Could well end up as Brian Carthy’s assistant in Croke Park. The main man we turned too in his Clada days for the red and green Heineken gear bag. County finals were rare but these bags are even rarer now.
